I finally finished my challenge that was due by Oct. 31. I had one day to spare - yeah! Here is what I came up with. I used the Life's a Beach Cricut cartridge to make the Anchors Away and I made a wave svg using one of the punches. You can download the wave border here.

I just made this cute little racoon picture hugger. I have tweeked this thing numerous times and I think it turned out adorable. Hope you enjoy! The file can be downloaded here.
Just a quick thank you card I made for my son's new basketball coach. Just wanted to thank him for all his hard work and time that he spends with the kids! I used the Sports Mania Cricut cartridge for the basketball.

I was so excited to make a pink girly layout this time. My daughter is a tom boy all the way but my niece pictured here is the total opposite! I have two svg files to share from this layout. The first is the scallop page that can be downloaded here and the second is the daisy that is in the second photo that can be downloaded here. I also used the Sweet Pea Flower Soft for the center of the daisy! There is so much talk on the yahoo groups about making your own Flower Soft so I am very excited about doing that next - it will be so much cheaper and I can always have the color I will need. YEAH!!!!
Just did this layout of our kids feeding the carp at our local lake. We always go to the dollar store and get a bag of cheap puppy food to feed them. My little niece is always saying "Here Fishy" as she is feeding them so I thought that would be a fitting title for the page. These large fish are everywhere and if you are not careful you will definitely get splashed! I am so glad I printed the picture of the fish in the 8-1/2 x 11 size (even though I cut it down a little) because it works well with this layout!

Just made this cute little svg file of a dragonfly. I think he is pretty adorable - just wish I was better at doing eyes and did not smear them (oh well he is still cute)! The file can be downloaded here.

Life is Good at Camp!

This layout is showing our spoiled rotten dog at our camp! This totally depicts her wonderful life while we spend time together at our camper! She loves going there. We have a long lane to travel down before we get to the campground and she is up and wagging her tail as soon as we turn onto the lane. She wants out to rip in the woods and smell everything - LIFE IS GOOD! The journal box at the top of the page can be downloaded here - it is in svg format.
Just worked on a layout using white core paper. I laid plastic letters behind the paper and then sanded it to make my Easter title. I can't remember where I got the basket svg file to give that person credit but I love it!

FREE Singing Chicken SVG file!

Many of you have emailed me for the Chicken Little SVG so I thought I would just post it here for everyone to download! Just keep in mind that the shirt is one piece so it you want stripes, you will have to use striped paper. If you look under Recipe Swap on my blog - you will see how I used him on a recipe card. ENJOY!

I just created this simple Christmas card with a stamp that I recently purchased. I love anything with a Santa on it and this vintage looking one caught my eye. I cut the postage stamp shape out on Sure Cuts A Lot and then chalked the rest of the image and used Crystal Stickles for the hair and beard. The postage stamp svg file can be downloaded here.
My son finally decided to take the boating course this summer. He didn't want to do it online (which I thought was easier) but instead chose to take a two day course that was a total of 8 hours long. In the long run I think it was better for him to be sitting in a classroom hearing all the material. No way he could have done it online because he would have had to read something - oh no! Anyways with his new certificate he is able to run the jet ski by himself now! The bad part of that is that we don't see our poor jet ski much anymore except for when he gets hungry! LOL Here is the two page layout I did to highlight this accomplishment of his! The second page photos turned out great considering I was very far away from him and don't have the best camera in the world.

Sewing Project

As some of you may already know, I love sewing when I have the time! I used to sew a lot more than I do now but on occassion I will get the old machine out and make something. While redecorating our living with a semi-tropical theme, I decided it would be nice to have an animal print pillow for the loveseat! I needed it to be a long pillow and I wanted it to have long trim on both ends but I couldn't find one I liked anywhere so I decided to just make one. The picture looks black and white but it is actually tan and dark brown which really goes well with our new furniture! I have never spent so much time on making a pillow before, the fringe that I chose was a pain in the butt to work with - the balls kept falling off - ugh!

The fringe turned out nice but I will never work with this stuff again!

Here is my newest obsession - love this graph paper.

In A League All Your Own!

What better way to spend a cold rainy day without kids then to scrapbook! I just need to figure out where I can ship the hubby to get even more done tonight! This layout I just finished from pages that my girlfriend gave me. She does such wonderful work and is always so giving and generous with her things! Thanks Beanie girl! I appreciate all that you do! You can see her blog here! I learned one thing from doing this layout though - I don't do well with premade pages. I do better with doing things as a go! How do you people premake things and then fit them perfectly - I am impressed!

And I just love this poem on the page:

Make her wish come true!

Just found out from Lisa Schmidt that there is a little girl dying from cancer, her 'make a wish' is to receive get well cards. Make her wish come true and please take the time to make and send cards to the address below: Danelle Bartettie 260 Country Club Road Richwood, West Virginia 26261

College Graduation

Just got back from the beach on Monday night from a wonderful mini vacation with family and friends and am trying to get things back in order and on schedule. Basketball season has started so four nights a week I am at the kids schools with practices. Therefore, I have been quite busy lately but I did manage to work on a layout of my nephew's college graduation. We are so proud of him - he is in the Air National Guard too! My son wants to follow in his footsteps - time will tell!

Basketball time!

I am trying to get last years basketball photos done before this season starts in a few weeks. These are of my daughters fifth grade tournament that her schools team won. This was extra special because two years prior to this her brothers team won the fifth grade tournament so she wanted to do the same! Way to go COUGAR girls!!!!!!! I took a ton of photos of her and hated to get rid of any of them so I decided to make a collage with the best ones - I think it turned out pretty nice! I love the Sports Mania Cricut cartridge!

Here Fishy, Fishy

Worked on another layout last night with the paper piecing files from Lisa - I just love her files!
