Help I Can't Stop Making Cards

I need help. I am enjoying making cards way too much. My scrapbook pages are going to get way behind! Here are some of my creations from last night - I would have had a lot more done if only I could stay off this dang computer! Wednesday my husband and I are leaving for Florida - I don't know if I will survive a week of no scrapbooking or cardmaking. YIKES!

Here is a card I used one of my new stamps on from Michaels 50% off doorbuster sale yesterday morning. My girlfriend and I loaded up our baskets and came home with a ton of stamps. You can't really tell from the photo but I inked the area around the snowflakes blue - it is so much cuter in person.

Here is a card I just had to try. I saw an example of this with a flower theme at a local stamping store yesterday and just had to come home and try to figure it out. I love the inside but am not real pleased with the outside. My cricut chewed up one of the snowflakes but I used it anyways - because remember no two snowflakes are alike! LOL Don't tell my hubby but this is another one of my new stamps - my favorite one - the snowman!

Okay my brother in law not only builds boats like the previous post of the Feathercraft but he also builds old toys. He really likes building robots and does an unbelievable job of it. You can check out his new blog at http://www.atomicagetoys.blogspot.com/. Anyways I saw this pattern of Robby the Robot on http://susanbluerobot.blogspot.com/ and decided this would be perfect for his upcoming birthday card. I just don't know how I am going to do that yet. I will post the finished card in the near future! I think he turned out quite cute!

This card I have been seeing all over the cardmaking boards and decided to give it a try. I used the heat embossing for the first time on the Seasons Greetings - thanks to Deb for getting me hooked on this technique!

More Cards

I think I am getting addicted to making cards. It is so nice to take a break from scrapbooking to have something else that is fun to do also. I usually do one or two - 2 page spreads a night and then move on to making a card or two. Here are some I worked on last night! Hope you enjoy!

I used my Martha Stewart Branch punch to make this one! This is my favorite punch. You can do so much with it.

I would love to take credit for this card but I got this idea from another persons blog. This was showing how to use more than one cuttlebug folder for a card. I got the idea from http://carolspaperplayce.blogspot.com/2008/09/debut-design-for-cuttlebug-challenges.html

This one was made with Sure Cuts a Lot. I just ordered this pattern for $1 from http://www.myscrapchick.com/ She had some very cute patterns on sale that I just couldn't pass up.

I was playing around with my cuttlebug again and used my favorite folder the Textile Texture to make this one.

This is just a stamp from the Stampin Up collection called Season of Friendship. I then of course used my other Martha punch - the scallop border.

Cards I have recently made

Here are some recent cards that I made. I am loving this card making but I need to learn to get a little faster at it. I take to much time trying to figure out how I am going to do it. I love using my new cuttlebug that my DH bought me for my birthday! It adds so much to cards as well as things in my scrapbooks!

Start your Engines

Here is the layout I worked on tonight. I loved this font for this page. It seems to fit the theme quite well. I just need to figure out how to take better photos of my LO's.

This was what our poor dog looked like today. My husband was outside working on his truck and using antifreeze. Therefore we didn't want the dog to be outside around it. Well she pouted and sat by our front window and watched him like this for over 45 minutes. Poor thing - she is so spoiled rotten!

Some things made on CDS

Here are some things I have eithered designed on the Cricut Design Studio or have just plain cut on the Cricut.

First Word Book

Here is my first attempt at making a word book. This is for my mother-in-law for Christmas from my kids. My children are going to add photos and decorate it for her.

1958 Feather Craft

I am so thrilled with this scrapbook page. It is my brother-in-laws boat that he restored. It took him over two years to do it and over 200 hours. He is so talented and did such an awesome job. This boat is so fun to drive - I Love It! I cut the Feathercraft emblem on the SCAL program and I have included a picture of the boats emblem so you can see how neat it turned out!

Somethings I have been working

As many of you already know I am the proud new owner of the Sure Cuts A Lot program and am enjoying the flexiblity and ease of the program. I have enjoyed scrapbooking so much more with being able to create all these neat new things. Of course it is taking me twice as long but I don't mind because I love this program. With it, I now have several hundred fonts available for my use without having to purchase anymore Cricut cartridges. YIPEEE!!!!! These may not be a big deal to some of you but to me they are! I am proud of myself.
