I made a quick Mother's Day card tonight. I haven't been doing much posting lately because I have been super busy spring cleaning. I have taken stuff to the consignment shops, listed on ebay and am having a yard sale today and tomorrow. It feels so good to be getting rid of things we don't use - boy how you accumulate stuff! Hope you like my card. It was a quicky but I was itching to make something.

HAPPY EASTER

Happy Easter everyone - hope you had a wonderful holiday with your family and friends! We decided to spend the weekend at our campsite with my brother and his family who also have a permanent campsite! We were going to head out on Friday but since it was raining we decided to wait until Saturday morning to leave and therefore decided it would be fun to bake some Easter cookies!

We had a great time at camp but boy was it cold. We were sitting by the fire last night in 37 degree temps. (It felt a lot colder than that to me!) I know you are all thinking we were nuts but what would it be like not sitting by the campfire at night while camping? We just didn't sit there as long as we usually would! Thank goodness we have a warm camper to sleep in.

We woke up this morning to more cold temps and ate breakfast and headed to the the pond where we like to spend time fishing - the kids love fishing! We lasted about 10 minutes because with the cold temps and wind made it quite miserable. We decided to take a long hike instead (that way we were moving and keeping warm) - what a fun time that was - there is so much beauty all around us if you only take the time to find it! (Hiking up two VERY steep moutains makes you realize how out of shape you really are - I definitely stayed warm though)! LOL After the hike we decided to have an egg hunt throughout the campground and had a wonderful turkey dinner before heading home! The day was so nice - not a care in the world and just spending good quality family time with each other! NOW THAT IS HOW I LIKE SPENDING EASTER!

This layout is of my DD skiing this winter. It looks so much better in person than with these pictures. I wish I could get better pictures for my posts but am unsure of how to do that - I made a light box that I use since I am a basement cropper but it isn't doing the greatest job. It has helped but as you can see the light is drowning out the layout! Any tips from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

My dear daughter turns "11" on Thursday so I decided to make her this card. I chose this stamp because when she was looking through my things last night she said "Awww, Mommy this is so cute - I love this stamp!" I hope she likes what I did with it! Where does the time go - I can't believe she is eleven already!

REMODELING

Well as I posted before, I decided to remodel my daughters bedroom and the kids bathroom. It took us a week and a half with the kids busy schedules and my husband working late at nights but we are almost done! My daughters walls are a very pretty but bright yellow called Chilled Lemonade. We are waiting for our new bathroom counter tops that are being made and my husband is making a frame for the bathroom mirror and the posters that my daughter chose for her room! Here is the progress that we made so far - I am very happy with our choices! I forgot to take a before of the bathroom but it had wallpaper with bubbles on it and a fish border about 3/4 up the wall (what was I thinking?). What a big change in both rooms - the kids aren't babies anymore - so sad but each stage of their life is truly special!

And last but not least the kids bathroom remodel (the walls are a very nice bluish gray color). We decided to also get rid of the ocean scene shower curtain and put shower doors on.

Another word book for Easter

Here is another word book I made as an Easter gift! I did this one in Cricut Design Studio with the George and Storybook cartridges.
