Make The Cut - Easter Chick

Last weekend I got the new program Make The Cut and let me tell you, it is AWESOME!!!! It is so much more user friendly than Sure Cuts A Lot even though I love both programs, there are pros and cons to each. This is my very first detailed cut from the program and I hope you like him. A little chick just in time for your Easter projects! When I cut him I noticed I didn't do the grass real well but I have changed that in each of the files. The MTC file can be downloaded here and the SVG file can be downloaded here.

Lake Fun!

More layouts I did of my family having fun at our local lake this past summer. I must admit that after a while I feel like the layouts of the same place never have any character to then - you feel like you are doing the same pages over and over! The scalloped circle on this page was taken from my favorite font Kutups. I cut the file into four pieces therefore only using one section of the file on this page.
The boat cut file can be downloaded from this layout here. The bracket box journaling box svg can be downloaded here. These files are for the Sure Cuts A Lot 2 program.

Piano Time

My daughter loves to play the piano - only songs that she doesn't have to play for her teacher that is. I always look at her and wonder how in the heck she sits the way she does but it must be comfortable to her!

Appetizer Recipe Cards

I recently spent the last five days with my wonderful girlfriends (aka Ravenous Red Squirrels) on a scrapbooking weekend. Our theme this time was Mardi Gras and as usual we had a wonderful time. We especially enjoyed our time making jewelry at the scrapbook store and taking advantage of the bag sale with everything 40% off until the owner cut us off from purchasing anymore! LOL Sorry to have missed Kim, Karen, Kristen and Angela in the picture! Our recipe swap this time was for appetizers and then we had a night where everyone made what was on their cards - boy was everything delicious! Following are everyones creations:

Here are my two absolutely favorite scrapbooking toys at the moment - LOVE this stuff from Crafters Companion. No more buying and wasting money on cricut mats. This stuff works so good and literally only takes minutes to use! You can see how easy it is to use on this YouTube video. I only wish I would have kept some of my other mats instead of throwing them away now!

Birthday Card - 4 yr old girl

Just made my niece this simple birthday card for her 4th birthday - time sure does fly by fast!

WOW - I can't believe it has been two months since my last post - where does the time go! I sure wish I could get back into the swing of scrapbooking. I am hoping that my upcoming Wed-Sun Retreat will put me back into the swing of things! I did make another glass block over the holidays for a friend of ours who is a golfer. The svg file can be downloaded here.
