MISS YOU LADIES!

Since we moved and today was to be one of my weekends to be away with my scrapbooking buddies, I decided to go ahead and still scrapbook along with them. Although chatting on line with them and not being there in person is not the same, it certainly does feel good to be cropping again. On a positive note, it is much quieter here than there I am sure! ha, ha

Here is my latest layout that I just completed:

Just a Swingin'

Here is a simple layout I did of the kids swinging this past summer. The silhouette file can be downloaded below:

The SVG file can be downloaded here.

Per a request, I did just make a little boy swinging from the tree. Please see this post.

Do You Like My Hat?

I had these crazy pictures of my family with various hats on. While on the phone with my dear friend Beanie, I was telling her I had no idea what to do with this layout. Instantly she said use the Dr. Seuss book "Go Dog Go". What ? She always has an instant idea for everything! After talking with her I remembered the "Do you like my hat?" part. She said to use a pink poodle and that is how this layout came about. I tried to make it look like the tree on the side and top and then made the poodle and cut a hat out to match the one in the book as good as possible! The funny part is this was perfect for our photos because that book was always my childrens favorite when they were younger and there was not a night that didn't go by that we didn't read it to them! Thanks Beanie for the wonderful idea!

The svg file for the poodle can be downloaded here. On the poodle, I used my homemade flower soft to try to make it look like curly fur.

The font I used was hiccup. I loved this font because I felt it had some fun to it!

Piano Time

My daughter loves to play the piano - only songs that she doesn't have to play for her teacher that is. I always look at her and wonder how in the heck she sits the way she does but it must be comfortable to her!

BO DUKE - great surprise!

When we went to a car show back in October we were pleasantly surprised by the appearance of John Schneider. I loved watching the Dukes of Hazzard back in the 80's and of course "Bo" was my brother of choice! LOL I must say the man is aging very well! If my husband wouldn't have pointed him out though I would have never recognized him. I can hear the song now - Just the good ol' boys, never meanin no harm, beats all you ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they were born.......

Umbrella SVG file

When we took the kids to Hersheypark this year we were very disappointed when we had to go home after being rained out! We did get to see a lot of the shows that we may have not stopped to see otherwise so we did make the best of a bad situation. Here is my layout reflecting this event. The simple umbrella svg file can be downloaded here!

BOARDWALK - THE SEAQUEL

I did this layout for the water park at Hersheypark. I have the scut file for the title here. I colored each of the letters in to get the various colors on the letters. The water on the bottom of the letters I did by just cutting the word Boardwalk again and then tore the top half of the letters off and adhered them to my original first cut of the Boardwalk (hope I am making sense here). The waves as I posted earlier can be downloaded here.

Hershey Park Happy!

This layout is done with some files that I found on Laura's website that can be found here. They are perfect for these photos! A great big thank you to her!

Hershey Park Happy!

Here I did a simple layout using the Martha Stewart Edger Embossed Zig Zag punch. I also printed each of the roller coaster names on vellum - couldn't fit one on though - ran out of room! The Hershey, PA svg file can be downloaded here. There is a lot of nodes in this file so it will take it a while to cut! I didn't want to decrease the nodes because then I started to lose the detail!

Water Wars

Just created this layout using a svg file that I got from Patterns by Sher. She has a great selection of cute files on her blog - go check her out. She is a wonderful person to deal with.

Family Reunion

This layout was made using the sign from the Camp Out cricut cartridge. I used wood paper and just inked it to give it the old wood look! The svg file of the people silhouette can be downloaded here.

I was so excited to make a pink girly layout this time. My daughter is a tom boy all the way but my niece pictured here is the total opposite! I have two svg files to share from this layout. The first is the scallop page that can be downloaded here and the second is the daisy that is in the second photo that can be downloaded here. I also used the Sweet Pea Flower Soft for the center of the daisy! There is so much talk on the yahoo groups about making your own Flower Soft so I am very excited about doing that next - it will be so much cheaper and I can always have the color I will need. YEAH!!!!

Poolside Pals

Here is another layout of the kids enjoying the pool at the condo we rent at the beach. I am not to thrilled with this page but when I journal it I guess it will all come together. It is just missing something - way to plain!

I only have one more two page layout to do and my beach pictures will be caught up. Then I can move on to November 2008 photos - YEAH!!!!!

FUN AT LAKE CLARKE - FEATHERCRAFT

Here is another layout I did for the day we spent at Lake Clarke testing the new, faster motor that my brother-in-law had just put on his boat. We didn't spend much time there but what a beautiful place it was. The motor worked great and the kids and the dog had a wonderful time!

1958 Feather Craft

I am so thrilled with this scrapbook page. It is my brother-in-laws boat that he restored. It took him over two years to do it and over 200 hours. He is so talented and did such an awesome job. This boat is so fun to drive - I Love It! I cut the Feathercraft emblem on the SCAL program and I have included a picture of the boats emblem so you can see how neat it turned out!
