MOJO Monday

Boy what a long day - planned on Christmas shopping and cleaning the house today and ended up spending the entire day at the hospital. My husband fell about 12 feet off of a roof this morning - he landed on his feet - thank the good Lord for protecting him! He was admitted to the hospital with a very badly broken heel (found out after waiting six hours). The other foot is okay but is really badly bruised. They did a Cat Scan on top of the xrays and now want him to get a second opinion! He is probably coming home tomorrow which I have no idea how that is going to be since he is in some terrible pain. They want him to wait until the swelling goes down in order to have surgery on it - I have never seem a body part swell as much as his poor foot - I couldn't even look at it anymore it was making me sick. He is a contractor so this is going to kill him to be laying around especially since he is in the middle of trying to get a triplex under roof before winter comes. Another blessing though is that he has some wonderful guys that work for him that will be stepping up to the plate and getting the roof done for him. Mentally right now I am about drained for the day but decided to do a card for Mojo Monday's Challenge. Hope you enjoy it - heading to bed! NIGHT

Over at Bitten by the Bug they are having a contest. I have never entered a contest before so I thought what the heck I needed to make a birthday card for a December birthday and what was I going to do with all these Christmas paper scraps laying around! You are to make a Birthday card with it mainly being red and green and it had to have at least one cricut cut from any cartridge of your choice. I chose this birthday party hats border on the Celebrations cartridge.

Head on over and check it out and join the fun! Here is my entry!

I finally finished my challenge that was due by Oct. 31. I had one day to spare - yeah! Here is what I came up with. I used the Life's a Beach Cricut cartridge to make the Anchors Away and I made a wave svg using one of the punches. You can download the wave border here.

First Bi-Monthly Challenge!

My dear friend Chedderfish and I have decided to do bi-monthly challenges to keep ourselves and others motivated to work on there scrapbook layouts. If you want to participate with us you can take a peek inside her fish bowl here. Her and I have decided to do bi-monthly challenges so please check her blog as well as mine for your next challenge! We'll take turns posting challenges on the 1 and 15th of every month. Sometimes they will be scrapbook sketches or card sketches and other times they might be to use a certain tool or Cricut shape. Don't forget these sketches/challenges are very open for interpretation. Feel free to rotate/flip or do something all together different - they are really just a starting point to get you motivated! You can link your creation in the comments on our blogs! Here is my layout for Challenge #1:

Beach Layouts are DONE!

Well I did another challenge and I am finally done with the beach photos. I don't know about everyone else but after doing the same vacation over and over you begin to get sick of scrapbooking them. However, I would hate to miss a shot of anything so with that being said, I will continue to do more and more beach photos in the future I am sure! It took me nine two page spreads to finish just one vacation (4 days only) now is that too many photos or what! LOL

Fun on the Boardwalk

Well this is a plain layout but most of mine are! I took Okie's challenge on the Cricut MB to make this layout. Here was the page map we were to somewhat follow! More of these great layout maps can also be found on www.pagemaps.com. There are layout and card ideas for you to use! I print them each month for future references!
All I need to do is my journaling yet but other than that it is done. My DH would kill me if he knew I posted this photo of him online. He is nuts anyways - never a dull moment with him! I used my new Chocolate Box color core cardstock and sanded it. I just love the color core papers. You can do so much with them and always get a different outcome!
