Appetizer Recipe Cards

I recently spent the last five days with my wonderful girlfriends (aka Ravenous Red Squirrels) on a scrapbooking weekend. Our theme this time was Mardi Gras and as usual we had a wonderful time. We especially enjoyed our time making jewelry at the scrapbook store and taking advantage of the bag sale with everything 40% off until the owner cut us off from purchasing anymore! LOL Sorry to have missed Kim, Karen, Kristen and Angela in the picture! Our recipe swap this time was for appetizers and then we had a night where everyone made what was on their cards - boy was everything delicious! Following are everyones creations:

I am finally back - I am not a scrapbooker or crafter at all during the summer months as many of my good friends can tell you. I would much rather be outside enjoying the weather! This summer has been perfect - with not to many super hot days! I start getting back into things around the end of August mainly because I have a group of friends that gets together at a retreat in September and I need to get things organized for that. This is a great motivation for getting back into things and by this time I start missing it anyways! Below are the recipe cards that I made for our retreats recipe swaps for desserts and soups. I also just got done labeling the kids binders for school today (I LOVE my cricut for these type of things) - can't believe my youngest is going to be in Middle School and my oldest in Jr. High - where does the time go?

RECIPE SWAP

I wanted to post all the cards we received in the recipe swap at our retreat last weekend. The girls all did an awesome job! We had so much fun doing them as well as receiving them that we have decided to do two recipe swaps at our next retreat in Sept - besides we have almost seven months to complete them. We are going to do a Christmas Dessert one and a soup one! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up!

Jody made us two because she had so much fun making them!

RECIPE CARD

Okay I can't wait to show you how cute the recipe cards turned out for my swap we are having. Most of the girls are not on my site on a regular basis so hopefully they won't see it. I think it is adorable! I have also included a layout I did last night - first one for 2009 and the first one in two months I think.
